Other material balls

Aluminium balls

They are used mainly in the electronic industry, being the most used the aluminium 99,98%.

Nickel alloy balls, monel

This material is used especially chemical, maritime and pharmaceutical industry due its high resistance to alkaline solutions and sea water.

Available materials: Monel 400: Hardness 110/149 BHN, Monel K500: Hardness 230/315 BHN.

Nickel alloy balls, hastelloy

It presents a major resistance to corrosion than Monel because is resistant to strong oxidising agents.

Available materials: Hastelloy B2: Hardness HRB 95, Hastelloy C276: Hardness HRB 90, Hastelloy D: Hardness HRC 34.

Rubber balls

These balls have the advantage to not require lubrication and be silent, having also a good resistance to corrosion. They are used mainly for non return valves, carburettors and pharmaceutical industry.

Usual materials:NBR (Nitrile rubber), EPDM (Ethylene Propylene), VITON (Fluoro-Elastomer), VMQ (Silicone).

Brass balls

Precision balls manufactured of brass are used especially for valves because present an excellent resistance to corrosion in contact with gasoline, butane and other similar agents.

Bronze balls

Specially used for valves because present a good resistance to the corrosion for contact with concentrated caustic.
